James King
Founder & Director
Conveyancing Department
James is the Founder of the firm. He completed his B Proc at the University of Port Elizabeth & was admitted as an Attorney in 1991. In the same year he became admitted as an Attorney, he started his own firm JAMES KING ATTORNEYS which we today know as JAMES KING & BADENHORST INC. James heads the Conveyancing Department & specializes in all matters related to Property Law, Contracts, Transfers & Bonds.
Leon Delport
Director
Collections Department
Leon completed his B Proc at the University of the Free State. He started his Practical Vocational Training (Articles) at James King Attorneys in 1997 & was admitted as an attorney in September 1998. Leon heads the Collections Department and specializes in all matters debt related.
Louis Oosthuizen
Director
Litigation Department
Louis obtained his B Proc at the University of the Free State & his LLB at the University of South Africa. He completed his Practical Vocational Training (Articles) in Bloemfontein and was admitted as an attorney in June 1998 & admitted as a Conveyancer in 2006. Louis joined the firm on 1 December 2015 & heads the Litigation department. Specialising in commercial & civil litigation.
Thurston Louw

Collections Department
Thurston completed his LLB degree at the University of South Africa in 2019. He joined the firm on 1 December 2019 as a Candidate Attorney & was admitted as an Attorney in March 2021. Thurston specializes in Debt Collection, Civil & Criminal matters.
Friedelein Kleyn

Wills & Deceased Estates Department
Friedelein completed her LLB degree at the University of the Free State. She was admitted as both an Attorney & Notary in 2010. She is one of a select few Notaries in Oudtshoorn & heads the firm’s Deceased Estates Department. Friedelein joined the firm on 1 April 2017 & specializes in all matters relating to Deceased Estates, Trusts, Wills & Notary services.
Leanne Schoeman

Conveyancing Department
Leanne obtained her four year LLB degree from the University of Stellenbosch. She completed her articles in Cape Town and was admitted as both an Attorney and Conveyancer in 2016. Leanne joined James King & Badenhorst as a Conveyancer on 11 March 2024 specializing in conveyancing, bond registrations, property law and developments.
Zac Lipschitz

Zac obtained his BCom LLB degree at the University of Potchefstroom in 2022 & was admitted as an Attorney in 2024. He joined the firm on 1 December 2022. Zac specializes in Criminal & Civil matters as well as Motor Vehicle Accidents (RAF) & Personal Injury Claims.
Kayla Botha

Kayla obtained her LLB degree at the University of South Africa in 2022 & and completed her Practical Vocational Training in 2024. Kayla was admitted as an Attorney in 2024. She joined the firm’s Conveyancing Department on 4 November 2025 & assists clients with property transfers, registrations & property law.
